With the cheap price with the Wii, Microsoft admitted that the low pricing of the Wii has been a major sweet spot. The Entry level price of the XBOX360 was a lot higher then their next price plan: $199 per console.
The company’s bigwigs recently confessed to Bloomberg that the Nintendo Wii may have been on to something when they launched its console at $250 US, which spurned sales and expanded its market beyond its regular consumer base.
It looks like Nintendo are going to win the console wars.
Ok, this title is misleading.. But Nintendo have sold 5 times more Wiis in Japan then Sony has Sold PS3s. Considering the price and the fact that Nintendo are based in Japan this isn’t suprising, but it really gives Sony a Slap in the face seeing the game library on the PS3 is mostly crap and Sony are making a loss for every console they sell.
By the time the PS3s price will drop there will probably be a Wii 2.0 developed of the money Nintendo are making from their Wiis, DSs and Games.
The Wii is selling like hotcakes and so are the old school games that bring back nostalgia. They just added Zelda II which brings the amount of games to 100, and Nintendo have said there have been $4.7 million.
Thats a lotta $$
I don’t see Sony or Microsoft making this sort of money.
But then again Microsoft simply don’t have any classics to sell and Sony are too caught up with their own Power-Driven Ego.
There’s a new interesting rumor about Nintendo’s plans for Christmas that ensures Nintendo’s domination of holiday sales (again). This was posted by an anonymous IGN forum member who has gone anonymous to protect himself from legal action from Nintendo. Basically the romor includes plans for the latest games that Nintendo plans to release and some of them seem to be enough to topple even Halo 3. Here’s a rundown of what’s coming up:

Those are the games that everyone knows about and are eagerly awaiting. In general the rumor notes that the graphics in these new games coming out are superior to anything we’ve seen so far, in particular Metroid Prime 3, which reportedly has graphics that will leave us in awe and make us realize that the Wii is capable of some amazing graphics. Metroid Prime 3 also includes downloadable level that are regularly updated and other new content will come out regularly over WiiConnect24.
Super Smash Bros. will also be online and will have the option of using either a gamecube controller or a Wiimote. Super Mario Galaxy was said to be massive. It is very similar to Mario64 in that it will have many different worlds with different themes, but at a scale that Mario64 could never compare to.
The rumor also mentioned some new games in development and the introduction of new services for the Wii.

Wii Health - Exercising with Miis
Wii Music - Play instruments with the Wiimote.

That’s almost it except for one last thing. On thing that will make fanboys drool in anticipation. The person who reported the rumor said that th last thing they showed him was the most incredible. Words flashed across the screen:

Then it showed link screaming and a triforce crashing into the screen and smash into pieces. This game is reported to feature realistic graphics, not just stylized like Twilight Princess. Aparently they’re using the full potential of the Wii and since it wasn’t originally made for theGamecube, they can go all out.
Throughout the years people have thought that doing the same movement over and over for 10 minutes a day will help them because a healthier person without having to give up their pizzas, cake and Coke.
Now the Wii is here, why not put it right there, next to the ab-fantastic and the calf-tronic.
